Trad climbing on LPT

Lower Pen Trwyn (LPT) on the Great Orme is not exactly synonymous with trad climbing, but if you look close enough then there they are: 'Twisting by the Pool' (E4 6a) and 'Jacuzzi Jive' (E4 6a) - probably the least climbed routes on the cliff next to 'The Big Bang' 9a...

Yesterday was another rainy day in Llanberis (its getting a little tiresome now), however along the coast at LPT it was perfect: low tide, just the right amount of sun, and a gentle breeze to keep the humidiy at bay.

Twisting by the Pool (E4 6a) was, in my humble opinion, the better of the two as it had consistently good climbing with lots of small wire protection. Jacuzzi Jive was a little more spicy... an extremely fingery/ technical/ bold-ish start led up to a loose middle section which was followed by the crux move by a decaying bolt (I reckon it was the 1983 original!) - quite a journey!!!
